Local Missions
At Christ Methodist Church, we believe our mission begins right here in our own community. Located in the heart of downtown Florence, we are committed to serving our neighbors with compassion, generosity, and practical support. Through local outreach partnerships, service projects, and hands-on involvement, we seek to meet real needs and share Christ’s love in tangible ways. Our desire is to be a faithful presence in our city — caring for others, strengthening relationships, and reflecting God’s grace in everyday life.
One of our local mission partners is The Help Center, a community-focused ministry serving those facing food insecurity and other needs in the Florence area. The Help Center provides a food and clothing pantry open several days each week, distributing groceries, essential items, and support to individuals and families in challenging seasons. Their work is powered by volunteers and donations from local churches and neighbors, and Christ Methodist Church is proud to support and participate in this effort to share Christ’s love in tangible ways right here at home.
Global Missions
At Christ Methodist Church, our mission extends beyond our local community to the world around us. We are committed to supporting and partnering with ministries that share the love of Christ across cultures and borders. Through prayer, financial support, and active engagement, we seek to participate in God’s work globally — bringing hope, compassion, and the message of the Gospel to those in need. As a church, we believe we are called not only to serve locally, but also to be part of Christ’s mission to the nations.
Christmas Boxes for Honduras
Each year, Christ Methodist Church participates in sharing the joy and hope of Christ through Christmas boxes sent to children and families in Honduras. These boxes, filled with gifts, essential items, and messages of encouragement, are a tangible expression of God’s love during the Christmas season. Through this mission, we are reminded that the message of Christ’s birth is for all people, and we are honored to partner in bringing joy, hope, and the Gospel to communities beyond our borders.
